About The Event
Qigong Mindful Movement Series
Qigong is a 4,000-year-old practice from China which helps your body to heal itself naturally. Qigong can provide relief from anxiety, pain, depression, arthritis, chronic fatigue and more. It can also improve balance and flexibility. The practice involves gentle movements that our synced with our breath, and focused intention. It has been said that Qigong is like meditation in movement.
About the class: Zen Qigong can be down standing or sitting. The focus is on body, breath and mind and can be thought of as meditation in movement.
About the Teacher:
Janice is the owner of Create Health, before becoming a holistic practitioner she had years of experience working as director of Therapeutic Recreation Departments, along with Alzheimer units in healthcare facilities. Using mindfulness practices, sound therapy and Qigong, the layers of physical and emotional suffering that had ruled Janice’s life for many years was relieved. This left a renewed passion for living. Janice is passionate about offering these methods that most helped her to others. Her mission is to be the change agent in helping people overcome their obstacles to health, by using cutting edge research, working with individuals, groups, and organization. Janice starts her sessions by engaging clients, taking in what they say so Janice can discover their intent and how they wish to be helped so she can be part of their healing. Janice’s services strengthen the ability to refocus thoughts for a calmer and stress free self, along with physical and emotional pain relief. Services offered, Qigong, Tai Ji Quan Movement for Better Balance (TJQMBB.org), sound healing, Therapeutic Touch and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Janice enjoys a nature walk, reading books and creating healthy dining experiences.
